Clear Ash – FRAXINUS

Clear ash plants are generally fast growing and can survive in difficult environmental conditions: they resist pollution, salt, strong winds, low or high temperatures. Their wood is one of the most widely used in flooring because it is strong and at the same time light and flexible. It has a whitish sapwood with a slightly darker heartwood. To the eye, ash parquet shows a medium texture and a generally straighter grain. It is no coincidence that the beautiful grain and the high degree of prominence make clear ash one of the most popular woods for furniture.

Generally, the habitat of the clear ash tree is found in the temperate and subtropical regions of the northern hemisphere, but also in tropical areas such as Mexico, Cuba, Java and the Philippines.
